Rich, thanks. That makes a lot of sense and is a much easier fix. I did
not want the new OS and somebody in my family got their hands on my
phone and thought they were doing me a favor and just downloaded it.
Think they wrecked my iPad too. Gees, they ask about everything else but
not that. I have done some research and understand one can no longer
revert. Is that true? I would really like to go back to 7 as I am not a
happy camper right now.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, and it is there in 8.1.
Sometimes just turning off wireless and waiting a minute and turning it back
on gets it to reconnect.

Subject: WIFI with new OS
I have noticed that my Iphone 5 keeps droping the WIFI and found myself
with an overage this month because it kept reverting to cellular. I
have never had an overage before. I turned off the cellular and it still
drops the WIFI. I go to settings and can't find my network. I turn the
phone off and on again, and all is well for awhile. Then it will lose th
enetwork and need to reboot so it can find it again. Has anyone else
noticed this since iOS 8?
Thanks.
Mary Anne
