Thanks. I will give that a try.
I personally couldn’t imagine working retail this time of year.
I hope it goes well and you get time to rest at some point.

Thanks again.

If you mean can you use iCloud for Windows from the Microsoft Store with Jaws
the answer is yes.
It’s a very simple program, there are 4 checkboxes which turn on or off iCloud
Drive, Photo sync, Mail, Contacts and Calendar sync with Outlook and Bookmark
sync with various browsers.
The checkboxes for Photos and Bookmarks have a corresponding Options button
which in the case of Photos allows you to check if you want to sync Photos
and/or Shared Albums and there are 2 change buttons which allow you to change
the location were said photos and shared albums are downloaded to, those are
the ones which give me trouble on two different computers. The Options button
for Bookmarks let’s you select the browser, IE or Google (doesn’t seem to list
Edge yet) from where you want to sync Bookmarks.
In addition to that you have buttons for Storage and Account.
The 4 main checkboxes are read as checked or unchecked, but they don’t say
which area they belong to, but if you are on any one of them and activate the
touch cursor and arrow left a couple of times it will tell you, e.g. it will
say iCloud Drive, Photos etc.
It's all quite accessible and no, I have not yet had time to call Microsoft
Accessibility to investigate this further. Probably I won’t be able to do this
until the new year, for a retail store the next few days are pretty busy and
important as is the week after Christmas. I’m just leaving for work now (it’s a
quarter to 8) and we are open until 9 PM today so I won’t be home for the next
13 hours or so and it’s not like it’s super important at this point.

Can you actually use this version for other files than pictures with Jaws?
And, have you talked with Microsoft accessibility about this issue?

I spend quite a bit of time on the phone with a very helpful person from Apple

in my Downloads folder, and when I pointed the app to that folder it gave me

RE: iCloud for windows not accessible with jaws?

2019-12-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Michael,

Could you explain what it is you want to do with iCloud Control Panel?
Do you use Windows 10 or are you still on Windows 7? If Windows 10, then which
version of iCloud did you install, there is a desktop version and a Windows
Store version. You need the Windows Store version, it is more or less
accessible.
I should mention that I use Jaws, I have no idea how well it would work with
NVDA.

I hope someone knows. I uninstalled it because it ended up dragging down my
system with its continuous running in the background along with being useless.
