Re: Removing a SIM

2014-10-02 Thread Brice Smith
Hi, Mark and Sieghard. Thanks for your responses. I had no major
trouble today getting the SIM in correctly - thanks for the advice.
Mark, the T-Mobile iPhone, purchased directly from Apple, is unlocked.
Thanks,
Brice

 Hi Brice,

Yes, you need to use a paper clip or the little tool which should come with
your iPhone to push down in the hole next to the SIM tray. This will pop it
out a bit and then you can pull it out.

The Nano SIM is very tiny and yes, it only goes in one way.

Also, when you pull out the tray, make sure you don';t turn it over
otherwise it won't go back in.

As for the card, it has one corner which is slightly cut off. This can be
hard to feel on a Nano SIM because it's so tiny. If you can feel it, the
cut-off corner goes towards the power button on the side of the phone or, if
you are facing the edge of the phone with the SIM tray, it will be to the
 right.
The cut-off corner also stays towards the edge or outside of the phone. In
other words, the side opposite to the cut-off corner goes in the phone first
just like you would slide a knife into its case point first.

Make sure you do this on a table or a surface where you can easily find the
 card should you drop it.

 Subject: Removing a SIM

 Hi, everyone.

Is there anything I should be aware of when removing a SIM card from
one iPhone and transferring it to another? I’m getting a new unlocked
6 Plus tomorrow, and I’ll probably switch out the Nano SIM from my 5S
myself – something I’ve never done before. I understand that the Nano
SIM is much smaller than a regular SIM, and some online research has
shown that I’ll need to use a paper clip to help me get the SIM out.
Does the SIM have to be inserted into a phone a certain way?
Basically, I know this question may seem silly – but I’m wondering if
there’s anything else I should keep in mind or be aware of when doing
this tactically, as I won’t be able to really rely on pictures or
 guides if I get stuck.

 Thanks.

Hello Brice,

Moving a SIM card from one phone to another, especially when the phones accept
the same size SIM, is a piece of cake.

I do it all the time.

Just be sure that the phone is off when either removing or inserting the SIM
card.

By the way, from where did you purchase your unlocked 6 plus?

I've been toying with the idea of getting an unlocked 6 plus, myself.

Re: Removing a sim card from an Iphone

2013-09-12 Thread MamaPeach
If you know where the sim card is located in the device, look for a tiny
little whole on one side of it. Use something tiny such as an unwould paper
clip to insert into the hole to eject the sim card. Sometimes you have to
use a bit of pressure when using the paper clip in order to get the sim card
tray to eject from the device.

Hi,
Just a little tip here. My phone didn't come with one of those eject tools
and I tried using the smallest paper clip that I could find but had no luck.
Turns out that one of those push pins that you use on a bulletin board works
like a champ.

Re: Removing a sim card from an Iphone

You will need a small pointed object or the eject tool that came with the
phone. On the right side of the phone you will find the small eject hole. Push
the eject tool in to this hole to pop out the sim tray. The micro sim can then
be removed and the tray reinserted.

Okay, This is just what I thought as it was the only hole I found. How hard

And one more thing. If I put my sim in to another phone can I use it that

in the U S as to what carrier would be a good one to just buy a sim card for

As you're looking at the right side of the phone with the home

There is only one place it can go.

Re: removing the sim card in a 4 s

2013-05-09 Thread Kevin Barry

Personally I use a safety pin, but you push hard enough to pop out the tray.
It takes some force.

Okay, This is just what I thought as it was the only hole I found. How hard
do you have to press in on the paper clip? I couldn't get it to budge.
And one more thing. If I put my sim in to another phone can I use it that
way or will I need to set up my user name and password? Any suggestions for
in the U S as to what carrier would be a good one to just buy a sim card for
so I can play with this phone? I already have a 4 S but this one is jail
broken and I just want to play with it. Thanks for any help.

As you're looking at the right side of the phone with the home
button to your left; the hole to insert the pin is to the left of the sim
tray.
There is only one place it can go.

Re: removing the sim card in a 4 s

2013-05-09 Thread Joseph
Hello,
It's located near the bottom edge of the card holder. That is, the end of the
tray nearest to you. Less than an eighth of an inch from the bottom edge of
the card holder. It is not on the case of the phone, it's on the card holder
itself.
