I am in using iBooks to re-send PDF files and it will also read some old files
that are in my library. Had a little trouble getting it to work initially but
I’m slowly figuring it out. Just takes a little maneuvering around the screen.

It’s now called Books in iOS 13, but it is an accessible app as iBooks. It
reads PDF and ePub formatted files.

I just started looking at the I Books app which I have never tried. It
seems that you can read books either in audio format or by having Voiceover
read the text of a book, although each book may not offer both options.
My question is what voice or voices can be used to listen to the text

Can they be read with a Braille display I am assuming such a display would have

hi janet you have to buy a book from the ibooks store then go in
to the library and double tap on the title of the book. there if
you flick right it should start reading if you go too far there
is the page number which you can adjust.

Hi,
Use the standard Read All gesture, flicking down with two fingers, to start
reading, or tap the text on the first page you want to read and then flick up
with two fingers to start reading at the top of the screen. Voiceover switches
pages as needed to read continuously.

Hello.
Last evening I was reading an I Book with my braille display with the speech
off. Now, I start reading the same I book with my braille display with the
speech off and can't turn the page with space bar dot six or dots three. I
have removed everything from the App switcher and rebooted
Hi, Kawal,
There are two ways to switch pages with the Braille display in IBooks. One is
to use dots 1-3-5-space and dots 2-4-6-space from within the text. Another is
to use dots 3- and 6-space from within the page chooser. These keystrokes are
specific to the locations. Are you using dots3
If I'm in I books, when I get to the page chooser, I use spacebar dots six or
spacebar dots 3 to go back. I did also try space bar o and spacebar ow for some
reason these did not work at times, so I put the speech back on, flicked up two
fingers to read, when the page changed, silence speech
Hello.
At last I have mastered how to read I books with Braille Display with speech
turned off. I actually like it and it's better than listening to an I book with
Voice Over. I hope that Dream Reader has Braille display support. Has anyone
used Dream Reader with Braille Display?
