was the iCloud sign in one.
Now all is back to normal
Thanks again.

Hi
I suggest going to Settings, Messages & select your phone number & any email
address that is NOT the shared iTunes log-in, leaving the iTunes log-in email
unselected, to send & receive messages from your wife, friends & family. This
should solve your problem.

Hi,
yes notifications are on for messages. I get notifications for any message
except from my wife. Somehow it must be a phone problem because as I said in an
earlier message all works correctly receiving messages on my Mac.
Thanks for the suggestion.

badges etc?
Under sounds have you assigned a sound?
Make sure you have a sound there
Then in your contacts, you can assign a sound different than what is under the
main sound setting.

My wif
and I have our own text tones for each other. If I hear that certain tone, I
know it's her. Same with ringtones.

You could do like my wife and I do, we use the same Apple ID, but have created
alias’s to separate iMessages.

If you are both using the same ID, then it will be like sending messages to
yourself.
Try setting up a unique text tone in your contacts for your wife and see if
that helps.

ever since my wife and I have had iPhones we have never had any problems
sending iMessages to one and another. We have always used the one Apple ID for
iMessage etc.
The last few days when sending messages neither of us get any notification the
other has sent a message. I can see the
