As in from a 100% charge with hte phone just sitting on my desk not plugged in and when I am not using it for anything, the battery drains to 50% within a couple of hours. If I am listening to an audio book, it can go to 0% within 3-4 hours. Has anyone else noticed this issue, and is there any way to help preserve battery life? I will be travelling in a few weeks and I need my phone to be working at its best then. Thanks, Donald -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. Hi, Amazon Basics Lightning cables are also great. From my experience with these cables, the newer model has a fat connector that does not allow connection when an OtterBox defender case is being used. I used to like these cables until they updated them with the fatter connector. Anker cables do not have this issue. Just one thing to be aware of when purchasing if you have a case protector. RE: iPhone 8 with iOS 13.1.2 really short battery life
Close all apps in the app switcher, then go to Settings > General > Reset and select to Reset Network Settings. After the phone reboots you have to rejoin your WiFi including entering your password and if your phone was called something like Donald's iPhone you have to go to Settings > General > About and rename it. After a Reset Network Settings the name is simply reset to "iPhone". Often doing this can have a very positive effect. have you checked your battery health? Also, check, if you have any navigation apps, open in your app switcher, which might be using up your battery. I had experienced that before. Most likely the phone was still updating. Now is ok.
