Previously, if I wrote something both in the title text field and the photo
text field/description field for a photo in the Photos app on my iPhone or Mac,
VoiceOver would automatically read this text when I navigated between photos
both in the iOS Photo app and the MacOS photo app. It was

initially so I did a hard reset of my iPhone 13 Mini leaving the speaker turned
on and after I input my passcode, Voiceover was coming through the speaker as I
swiped through my home screen items. Books and other media still play through
the speaker as before after doing this
bluetooth device.there is another setting in voiceover / audio, and lets you set the audio destination for both speech and sound. But again, turning on or off the speech destination to the phone or bluetooth device makes no difference. By the way, I have trouble just flicking to this setting on that
Also, what about the audio destination option in the roter? Doesn’t this
determine where the VoiceOver output is going? Unfortunately, I can’t test it
myself right now.

I imagine music would have played. The phone was not silent. The VoiceOver
clicks and other sounds could be heard, just not the voice.

Something unusual can always happen and unless it ihappens again it is just
that, a strange occurance.
If iOS 17.2 had a major issue where Voiceover would disappear like that, I am
sure others on the list would have experienced it as well.
