Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic
I so far have not had others able to hear. If music is turned up loudly yes but so far so good. I have not tried to carry on a conversation yet since mine is the sport headphone. Will report on that after I try it. Laura Ann -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Aftershokz Headphones with mic
Hello, Has anyone tried the Aftershokz bone conduction headphones with mic on their Iphone and if so what are your impressions? Does voice over sounds good over them? Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic
I have the one that does not activate the phone but is a headset. It works well with the Iphone and I can hear voice over well. I am using it to hear the time and have my phone be silent while I am working. I am planning to try the one that also works with the phone to answer calls. The reviews on amazon.com mentioned some static with that one so was trying the sport headset first. So far in the couple weeks I have had the headphones, I like then a lot and like that I can hear what is going on around me. Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic
I got the ones with the mic, and I never heard static with them. I haven't used them a lot on phone calls, but they work good, considering they don't block your ears. I hope that Sendero app comes out soon that will give us all the features on GPS the regular apps don't do. I heard using these things with something like a Kapten Plus could be hard, as that not only uses the smaller plug, but has something else in it to trigger the mic for voice recognition. - Original Message - From: Laura ann Grymes, LMT agape.wellness.mass...@gmail.com To: viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Sunday, July 08, 2012 4:13 PM Subject: Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic I have the one that does not activate the phone but is a headset. Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic
That sounds great and I am going to get the ones with the mic. Will use the ones I now have for exercise or just when I need headphones. Really cool technology. Love I can hear what is going on around me and hear music, voice over or whatever is in the headphones at the same time. Very very interesting technology. I got them after listening to the Serotalk podcast review on the headphones. Laura Ann -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. RE: Aftershokz Headphones with mic
Exactly that, the aftershox are *bone conduction* headphones, they sit just in front of your ears. They're good, as far as they go, and they supposedly have a lifetime warranty, which I'm going to have to test. I purchased a set of these, used them for an hour one day, and loved them. I put them back in a drawer, and pulled them out later, and I can only use them for a few seconds, before they turn off.I bought mine off ebay, but I'm trying to find the warranty information. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Jessica Brown Sent: Sunday, July 08, 2012 5:55 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic Interesting, what do you mean they don't block your ears? - Original Message - From: Brent Harding br...@hostany.net To: viphone@googlegroups.com Date sent: Sun, 8 Jul 2012 16:37:20 -0500 Subject: Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic I got the ones with the mic, and I never heard static with them. check out the serotalk podcast on these headphones. they are cool. They are bone condensing and transmit the sound through your cheek bones instead of going over your ears. I never thought about that possibility! I knew they had that nice clip, with the control buttons on them, but didn't realize they also had batteries. I'm not at home to describe this better, but with my headphones there was included a small accessory that plugs into the in-line control box, and the other into your computers USB for charging. Ok, let me describe what I have. In the box, were the headphones, a nice bag to put them in, and upon further looking, there is a USB dongle looking thing, with one miniplug, which I thought was an adapter, that you could put into your computer, kind of like those mic/headphone adapters you can use with your computer. Is that how you recharge the battery? And, how long does it take to fully charge them? If that's what they are, I feel really stupid! LOL! Yes, there's a big jack to a smaller plug adapter thing that plugs into the USB dongle, then you plug the whole thing into a USB port. I'm not sure if that little extension thing is needed, or if you can just take the audio plug and plug it right into the dongle, but they charge through the same connection that would normally feed sound in. - Original Message - From: Gail the U. That sounds like it. Without it in front of me, I can't explain it. Certainly, the USB prong goes into the computer. I think you just plug the headphone plug into the other end of that part. I don't think it took longer than an hour when I did it to get a good charge. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Gail the U. S. It has a small usb adapter type plug and on the other end is a place to plug in headset. You plug it into the computer to charge. I haven't had to charge yet. I think if you forget to turn off they turn themselves off after a certain amount of time. I was using it to test the other day while working and when I went to check time on my phone it was silent. I turned them back on and it worked. so would say they went to sleep or turned off. The piece for charging was small and you could have missed it in the packaging. I almost did. Hope this helps? Those of you who have used the aftershokz, have you noticed that other people can hear the other half of your phone conversations or music, even when at a reasonably low volume? I read several complaints of that in amazon reviews. On 7/8/12, Gail the U. S. I didn't even think about them having batteries, and charging them. LOL! Until tonight, that is! I! Love! My headphones! -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Laura ann Grymes, LMT Sent: Sunday, July 08, 2012 8:59 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Aftershokz Headphones with mic It has a small usb adapter type plug and on the other end is a place to plug in headset.
