Re: 1Password or LastPass?
I just downloaded One Password on my iPhone 8 and when I opened it the only option I had was to subscribe to the $8.99 for six months then $3.99 per month after that. There was no option to try it for free, and after I completed the signup for the 6 month trial, I need to enter my email and a 6 digit code which was supposed to be emailed to me but I never got the email, so I am stuck at this point. Is there anything you wouldn't use this program for? Would you use this to create your Apple id password? That is about the only thing that I would say you might not want to use this for, since you probably couldn't get to the password field before you needed to log in. Re: 1Password or LastPass?
There is a subscription cost for 1Password, but it is to be able to access your passwords across several operating systems. At one time, there was a $10 US in-app purchase within the app which offers more categories, such as driver's license, wireless routers, and others. That is a 1 time purchase. RE: 1Password or LastPass?
When I was looking into a PW manager a few years ago, at that time, the general consensus was that 1Password was more accessible. I don't know if Lastpass has done anything to make it's service more accessible, but 1Password's been working fine for me on my iPhone and PCs. They're also pretty responsive to accessibility concerns and work to address whatever issues may pop up from time to time. As far as pricing... Well, in my opinion, I don't find it to be hefty for the convenience and peace of mind that it provides at all, but that's going to depend from person to person I suppose. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of kelby carlson Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2019 10:02 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: 1Password or LastPass? Re: 1Password or LastPass?
Hello, I have been a last pass user for quite a while. The computer application could use some work but the iPhone app is very accessible. It is either free or has a $12.00 a year subscription for some premium features. Greg Wocher > On Oct 22, 2019, at 1:02 PM, kelby carlson wrote: > > Which of these two apps does everyone prefer? RE: 1password versus LastPass.
Ari, I haven't used either one, but I have been a Roboform user for more years than I remember. First of course only on the PC since I have been using Roboform many years before the first iPhone came out, but I find that Roboform currently is very accessible and the Roboform Everywhere service which costs $20 a year is a good option to sync passwords and password encrypted notes between all my computers and my iPhone. I still use my computers a lot since I am self-employeed and they are an integral part of what I do and if you do as well Roboform will automatically log you in to most websites simply by selecting the appropriate passcard. It stores the URL and automatically fills in your user name and password and then submits the information. This is not the case on the iPhone and with Safari, but it also has its own browser where it will do this. Which would people recommend and why? I don't really know anything about these two services, except that they both use a master password to lock your info.
