Re: 1Password or LastPass?

2019-10-23 Thread Donald Raikes
I just downloaded One Password on my iPhone 8 and when I opened it the
only option I had was to subscribe to the $8.99 for six months then
$3.99 per month after that.
There was no option to try it for free, and after I completed the
signup for the 6 month trial, I need to enter my email and a 6 digit
code which was supposed to be emailed to me but I never got the email,
so I am stuck at this point.

2019-10-22 Thread Matthew Bullis
Is there anything you wouldn't use this program for? Would you use this to
create your Apple id password? That is about the only thing that I would say
you might not want to use this for, since you probably couldn't get to the
password field before you needed to log in.

There is a subscription cost for 1Password, but it is to be able to access your
passwords across several operating systems. At one time, there was a $10 US
in-app purchase within the app which offers more categories, such as driver's
license, wireless routers, and others.
That is a 1 time purchase. I haven't bothered with the subscription since I
only use it on my iPhone. If I want to get a password on my Window computer, I
will copy it from the phone. I have gotten the in-app purchase and have found
it helpful. It can take a while to set up all of the passwords and other
information in 1Password, but it is well worth it and totally accessible. For
my limited use, I haven't come across any accessibility issues. The in-app
purchase also lets you set up multiple password vaults, which could be for

Which of these two apps does everyone prefer? I’ve heard great things
about 1Password, but it looks like there’s a hefty subscription fee
which I’m not crazy about.

Re: 1Password or LastPass?

2019-10-22 Thread Nimer Jaber
I've used 1password, lastpass, and bitwarden and they all work fine.

RE: 1Password or LastPass?

2019-10-22 Thread Cristobal Muñoz
When I was looking into a PW manager a few years ago, at that time, the general
consensus was that 1Password was more accessible. I don't know if Lastpass has
done anything to make it's service more accessible, but 1Password's been
working fine for me on my iPhone and PCs. They're also pretty responsive to
accessibility concerns and work to address whatever issues may pop up from time
to time.
As far as pricing... Well, in my opinion, I don't find it to be hefty for the
convenience and peace of
mind that it provides at all, but that's going to depend from person to person
I suppose.

Which of these two apps does everyone prefer? I’ve heard great things about
1Password, but it looks like there’s a hefty subscription fee which I’m not
crazy about.

Re: 1Password or LastPass?

2019-10-22 Thread Greg Wocher
Hello,
I have been a last pass user for quite a while. The computer application could
use some work but the iPhone app is very accessible. It is either free or has a
$12.00 a year subscription for some premium features.

RE: 1password versus LastPass.

2014-08-26 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Ari,

I haven't used either one, but I have been a Roboform user for more years
than I remember. First of course only on the PC since I have been using
Roboform many years before the first iPhone came out, but I find that
Roboform currently is very accessible and the Roboform Everywhere service
which costs $20 a year is a good option to sync passwords and password
encrypted notes between all my computers and my iPhone.

I still use my computers a lot since I am self-employeed and they are an
integral part of what I do and if you do as well Roboform will automatically
log you in to most websites simply by selecting the appropriate passcard. It
stores the URL and automatically fills in your user name and password and
then submits the information. This is not the case on the iPhone and with
Safari, but it also has its own browser where it will do this.

Regards,
Sieghard

Which would people recommend and why? I don't really know anything about
these two services, except that they both use a master password to lock your
info.

Thanks,
