Re: FaceTime question
My question deals with switching cameras. I was in a facetime video call yesterday and I could not find how to switch to the back facing camera. I tried double tapping where it said, front facing but nothing happened. - Original Message - From: Vicky Collins v-coll...@sbcglobal.net To: viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Monday, November 17, 2014 5:53 AM Subject: FaceTime question Does a two finger doubletap answer an incoming FaceTime call? RE: FaceTime question
You don't have to do that at all. A 2-finger double tap should work, if not the Answer button is not that hard to find if you put your finger on the home key and slide it up about an inch. Facetime in iOS 8 also now supports call waiting. Prior to this if somebody called on the phone the Facetime call would get interrupted, now just as when a second phone call comes in, you can put the Facetime call on hold and answer the phone call, then go back to the Facetime call. This is still one feature that is missing with Skype, but of course maybe Apple won't allow this. RE: FaceTime question
Thanks to all who responded in regards to answering a FaceTime call. I tried again tonight with my brother and his wife, and we couldn't get it to work, either, as the call would drop and then say that the person was unavailable for FaceTime when I tried to return the call. But, grin, they couldn't FaceTime each other, either, and they talked about having internet problems in their area. So, who knows. I could FaceTime with my brother and his wife, as well as my sister, when I last tried, but that was well before I got my iPhone 6 plus. Thus, just not sure where the problem lies. - Original Message - From: Sieghard Weitzel siegh...@live.ca To: viphone@googlegroups.com Date sent: Mon, 17 Nov 2014 08:36:09 -0800 Subject: RE: FaceTime question You don't have to do that at all. Re: FaceTime question
The problem is almost certainly their internet connection. If that is slow, FaceTime will drop to a lower quality. If it is bad enough, the call drops, just like a cellular call in a poor service area. RE: Facetime Question
Hi! Lori: I use face time on my iPhone5. I am a blind iPhone user, and facetime is a form of video conversation through the iPhone. As a blind user, it doesn't matter to me either way, as I simply prefer to use the phone in the ordinary manner, but I have friends who like to see who they are conversing with. Hope this helps. RE: Facetime Question
Keep in mind that as of iOS 7 one does not have to use video with Facetime, it is possible to make an audio call only. I certainly don't always want people to see me and if you are using cellular data or have a slow WiFi connection as it often is the case in hotels or a public WiFi, Facetime Audio is preferable as it uses less bandwidth. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Michael G McKay Sent: Friday, February 14, 2014 9:36 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com; viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Facetime Question Hi!
Hi, You can FaceTime someone using their email address, assuming they've set FaceTime to allow people to use that address to reach them. Go to Settings/Facetime to set this up. Re: Facetime Question
Facetime is a way to make video/audio calls between your Apple devices. It's a native app on your iDevices.
