I also got that message and all I had to do in my case was to change it from
“Manual” to “automatic”, then I rebooted my phone, changed it back to manual
and I haven’t had this message ever since.

there were any settings I missed. Unfortunately, there wasn't. They said that
feature had a bug when trying to turn that

I get this message every single time I am on the road.
Drives me nuts.
Like you, I have it toggled to completely off, and driving mode is manual.
Can't wait until bug is fixed.

I too had it set to activate when connected to the car's bluetooth. Since this
scenario will not apply to me, it's like disabling it. It would be nice to
disable it outright though.

Meanwhile, I found that setting it to turn on do not distrub when the
hone is connected to bluetooth solved it for the time being. Just
don't connect it to bluetooth in the car. But they mean to the car
itself, so you could still use headphones. Nothing else stopped it.
