Bought the Artec stainless steel Bluetooth keyboard. Will fit in a messenger 
bag, and a backpack but not a purse or pocket.

Since I've never seen the k780 I cannot say for sure, but since the k480 does 
not have the numberpad, I doubt it is anywhere near the same weight.
I only dabbled with using it with Windows once, but because of no numberpad, I 
stopped; so I am no help there either.

briefcase.
It is an excellent keyboard and can be paired with up to three devices.

If you are a touch typist, do not get the iClever IC-bk06.

I just got that at work to try it out and the bottom row in particular is way 
off.  When you go to type the letter m, you get a comma, when you go for n, you 
get the m, so you have to really stretch to get the n.
Also, it folds up nicely and has a real on/off switch, but it does not lock 
open; so you would have to always be on a hard surface.

It does pair with up to three devices.

If anyone has a folding keyboard, that has the keys in a pretty much normal 
arrangement and pairs with more than one device plus has a real on/off switch; 
I too would be interested.

Is the K480 extra heavy like the K780? That one is too heavy to take anywhere. 
And when you switch to a Windows PC, do the function keys act as normal f keys 
or do you have to run special software?

briefcase.

If you are a touch typist, do not get the iClever IC-bk06.

I just got that at work to try it out and the bottom row in particular is way 
off.  When you go to type the letter m, you get a comma, when you go for n, you 
get the m, so you have to really stretch to get the n.

Also, it folds up nicely and has a real on/off switch, but it does not lock 
open; so you would have to always be on a hard surface.

The K-380 from Logitech is pretty compact. I think it would fit into a
pretty large purse. I carry it in my briefcase.

Let me add some description here. We make a small keyboard-like remote, 
which can be used to control the iPhone in the pocket. It's a remote just 
to add convenience, speed and precision in using iPhone with VoiceOver.

VoiceOver and a bluetooth keyboard. One I just found using Google is on 
the Apple site itself and even has a link to specifically using the

I would recommend this small ultra-portable keyboard called Rivo. I got it 
and learned how to use it from a friend, but now I have found a link to the 
product at http://www.mobience.com/sub_rivo_en.html. I use it like a remote 
but definitely it’s something that makes me good at using my iphone.

If it's the Apple keyboard you are after then it won't charge; the 
batteries are user replaceable.

I like having a keyboard I can type on.  When I got my iPad Air, I wanted a 
case that comes with a QWERTY keyboard.  This is a Belkin iPad Air case.  The 
iPad sits in a holder and can be adjusted to 1 of 3 settings.  You can even 
lift the bottom of the iPad and slide it out so that the iPad lays flat on the 
typing keys face up.  So, you can use your Air flat on your lap.

The case comes with a recharging cable for the battery.  I really like it and 
even more, I love my iPad Air.  Now my iPhone can be used more for a phone.

Lastly, I am connected to my Plantronics Bluetooth Legend which channels the 
audio output of my Air to my ear peace.

Such mni-keyboard with arrow keys and most essential VO command keys would 
be handy especially for  us whose dads din't work on a nuclear plant - ie 
who have onl two hands:-)


I also prefer to keep the phone in a pocket. It is not advisable 
everywhere to both show you're blind and have an expensive phone.


Some game controller such as iMpulsecontroller would be handy if it could 
be tuned a bit  but  of course it requires there are enough intersted 
people to  purchase the modified controller.

Good day Denise.  Several years ago I got an AppsKey Pro by Hippie, which is an 
Apple folding wireless Bluetooth keyboard.  It ran about $60 or $70 because it 
came with a paid app which was free once you furnished the special code that 
came with the keyboard.  From this app, you could launch shortcuts to websites 
such as, CNN, EBay, Facebook, iTunes, Flicker, Safari, Amazon, Skype, WSJ, 
Twitter, Shazam, uTube, Wikipedia, Mall, App Store, etc.   The unit came with a 
protective pouch and has a pull-out stand to rest an iPhone or iPod Touch.  
Although this keyboard also works with iPad, I believe the pull-out stand would 
not support it and would topple over, but that's my opinion.  I've never rested 
an iPad on it.  The keyboard powers on using 2 double-A batteries and has an on 
and off switch.  When folded, the keyboard measures approx. 6-inches wide by 
4-inches deep by 3-quarters inch thick; and when opened, measures 12  one-half 
inches wide, giving you full-sized keys to work on with a slim profile.  

I like this keyboard.  I toss it in a handbag, tote bag and it fits in a deep 
pocket.  It's light to carry and feels good to the touch.  Sighted friends have 
told me there is a LED light which glows when unit is on to let you know the 
switch is in the on position.  I put a bump dot next to the on position and 
try to remember to slide the switch to the off position when done.  I don't 
know if it is still available, but I'm sure there are comparable models out 
there.  Good luck in your quest to find a suitable keyboard.

I like this keyboard because of its portability. It folds in half an comes
with a carrying case. The fit and finish of the keyboard seems well
constructed. I will admit that I haven't used it enough to comment on the
key layout but the feel and action of the keys I do like.

This keyboard is definitely smaller than the Apple bluetooth keyboard. There
are others on this list with more experience using this keyboard than me so
maybe they'll chime in as well.

I just ordered the Logitech 810 model. I probably should have gotten the
811, but it just won't work on a mac I guess. I also have a couple others,
but the one verbatim isn't very durable.

Hi,
I can't speak for the logitech 810, but the logitech 811 is spectacular both on 
the mac and iPhone. I would describe it as both sleek and durable at the same 
time. It's well worth the money. I have other portable keyboards, but they just 
don't measure up to the 811.
