Yes, raise to wake is in display and brightness and so is auto lock if people
are still looking for that.

The reason the screen is lighting up when your friend picks up his phone is
because he has the raise to wake feature on. Also, his rest to unlock setting
is probably off. I think y'll find the raise to wake setting in the new display
accomidation settings, but I'm not posative. You'll find the rest to unlock
setting in Settings/General/Accessibility/Home Button.

Oh, weird. I could have sworn I didn't hear the screen locked message yesterday

It's turning on the mute switch that brings the screen locked

If mute is on, and sounds are on, Voiceover will still play the lock sound.
The only way you'll get "screen locked" back is by turning voiceover sounds
off.

Actually Ari that's also incorrect. I have Voiceover sounds turned off and my

phone just making the sound it's fine as far as I am concerned. It's just like
when they introduced the "Dock" announcement whenever you touch an app in the
dock, to me that is superfluous, but others may like it, but I have gotten used
to it.

Hi Sieghard. You're sorta incorrect about the screen locked announcement. If he
really wants the announcement back, he can disable sounds and it will come back.

Hi Simon,

The "screen locked" announcement is no more in iOS 10 and there is no option to
reenable it.

Hi in the new IS how do you make the home button.
So that when you phone is locked you and just press it or touch
it and

have it unlock in your phone?
Cause now when you unlock your phone you press the home button
and then

it says press the home button to unlock your phone to unlock.
So how do you adjust this to have it the way it used to be?
