when you’re in the document channel just hold the phone quite hi above your target text and you should be given information about what edges can be seen. once all the edges can be seen, the picture will be taken, you will be advised to hold still. so, you don’t have to select or double tap it

Hi Sandy, What I've found is that you have to hold the phone higher from the document than with other OCR apps. It is about 18 inches for me. And you have to hold steady when it says to hold steady and it will automatically take the picture. And, yes, the handwriting recognition is amazing!
