Bingo! Thanks Donna. The problem was we had the email address selected that
was the iCloud sign in one.
Now all is back to normal
Thanks again.

It could be something changed in iOS 13.
Have you called Apple Accessibility?

This could be another case of progress that involves a step or two backward…

Re: iMessage between my wife and I

2019-12-02 Thread Donna
Hi

I suggest going to Settings, Messages & select your phone number & any email
address that is NOT the shared iTunes log-in, leaving the iTunes log-in email
unselected, to send & receive messages from your wife, friends & family. This
should solve your problem.

Re: iMessage between my wife and I

2019-12-01 Thread Richard Turner
Have you checked that under notifications messages are on with sounds, and
badges etc?
Under sounds have you assigned a sound?
Make sure you have a sound there
Then in your contacts, you can assign a sound different than what is under the
main sound setting.

Re: iMessage between my wife and I

2019-12-01 Thread Richard Turner
If you are both using the same ID, then it will be like sending messages to
yourself.
Try setting up a unique text tone in your contacts for your wife and see if
that helps.
My wife and I do not share an Apple ID so I can only guess.

Something must have been changed somewhere or other. In iCloud settings both

Please can anybody help with this one? I don’t wish to ignore my wife when she
