Re: update to IOS10 did not require setup

2016-09-16 Thread 'SammieDogsMom' via VIPhone

The upgrade was easy peasy. I updated over the air. It took about 5 minutes to
download, and once it was installed, voiceover kicked on. I put in my pass code
expecting a set up process, and the home screen simply came up. Very painless
indeed.

RE: update to IOS10 did not require setup

2016-09-16 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
When I upgraded my wife's iPhone 6S last night it didn't even ask me for her
Apple Id password, after the upgrade finished Voiceover came on, I entered her
passcode and it went to the home page and that was that.

Re: update to IOS10 did not require setup

2016-09-15 Thread Kathy Brandt
Yesterday I had something similar happened: I turned on my iPhone, which I
hadn't done since before the update, and when booted up, it gave the screen
that you normally associate with initial set up, where you get hello in the
different languages. It said something about an activation lock, that my phone
was associated with a given Apple ID and that I had to sign in, which I did.
After entering my password, everything was how I expected. I looked in
settings, and I was still in iOS 9.35. Never have had anything like that happen
before.
