VNC connection closed unexpectedly - continuing ....

I have a new clue. The Oracle DB installed cygwin on his PC to try Xwindows. He can open the Xwindow but when he tries to start a GUI application he gets an error saying the DISPLAY is not set. How do I set DISPLAY? Thanks for the ideas, Glen Gunselman Systems Software Specialist TCS Empo
