We were running RealVNC on everything until about a year ago at which time I
decided to try Ultra VNC as I needed the ability to disable the Systray Icon.
Due to UVNC issues I decided to just go back to RealVNC but I wanted to go
back to version 3 so I could get rid of the dreaded systray icon.

Sounds like a User/privilege issue in Windows.
Specifically, I suspect that you installed the service under an Admin
account, but perhaps are logged in under a different account - when
the VNC connection is attempted. If this is the case, Windows will
switch to the user login screen. A

I feel a little better known that the problem is reproducible on other systems.
Does anyone know why dri and vnc modules are incompatible?
Until next time, Colin.

Brian,
Thanks for the stack trace log from your crashed VNC server. Can I
send you a debug build of the server to try, so we can attempt to track
down the problem? The debug build will hopefully produce more useful
error output when things die.
Thanks,
