Hi Miachel,
I am using a serial cable but I'm not able to determine whether it is a
null modem cable or not.
Any help will be appreciated.
For absolute surety I'm gonna order a brand new cable. Do I need anything
else? Like any null modem connector or something? Please tell me so that I
can order
before buying a new cable I would do a loop-back test of the serial
connection. Use a paper clip and put it in pin2 and pin3 of the db9
connector which would go in to the alix board. Then you should see what you
type in the terminal emulation, e.g. putty

Hi Abhay,
A null-modem cable has two female db9 connectors, so nothing else is needed.
