which didn't happen at all yesterday
except when I disconnected my internet connection (modem)
any thoughts on why classic quits when I do this

Thanks to the replies I got about my Classic quitting all the time I
opened a classic program or even tried to start it up.
I got some phone support from Apple (free). And we went through my
computer with a fine tooth comb and could not find what was causing
this. The last resort from them

I always have backups, I love my Mac and trust it as
far as computers go but I don't trust it that much.
As for needing to pull the plug on a regular basis, if
that happened it would be time for a new computer.

Some time ago a list member asked if there was a good cause to give a
load of superseded
Macs to.
If that person still has them, I think I have a worthy group who
could use them.

I'm hoping someone might be able to help ...
I am working in an office where we have a HP Colour Laserjet 1500L connected
to and shared through a Windoze XP box. The other Windoze machines can
print to the printer no problems but my Ti PB 550 running 10.3.2 can't. I
can print directly
the sparks could be because the power supply box died, when you unplug
you still have 330v stored in the box for 1 or 2 seconds, if parts
(transistor or fuse) die then you get the sparks some smoke
you are in for an expensive exercise...sorry

Hello. I need some pointers about getting a microphone to work, to
do voiceovers in iMovie 3.0.3. I am using a Power Mac G4 with OS
10.2.8. I have a battery-powered microphone that works very well
with Speech Recognition, but in iMovie, the 'record' button is
always greyed out.
