classic quits

further to my frequent classic quitting the other day, which didn't happen at all yesterday except when I disconnected my internet connection (modem) any thoughts on why classic quits when I do this -- Gary Dorn Architect Perth, Australia

Thanks Gordon, I always have backups, I love my Mac and trust it as far as computers go but I don't trust it that much. As for needing to pull the plug on a regular basis, if that happened it would be time for a new computer. Like you I was under the impression that it wasn't safe but not all

Printing Using Windows Printing to a HP Colour LJ 1500L

the sparks could be because the power supply box died, when you unplug you still have 330v stored in the box for 1 or 2 seconds, if parts (transistor or fuse) die then you get the sparks some smoke you are in for an expensive exercise...sorry i know since apple micro$oft had a work
