I think the level of creativity amongst commercial tv execs is poor (and that being nice!). The problem is this word - commerical. Commercial TV exists to sell products. More and more the 'sponsors' of programs are wanting to pay less and less to advertise. Down comes the price of advertising,

The issue is of course that people have been skipping ads ever since the VCR came out - it was just not as convenient and easy as with TIVO-like devices. In fact, even before that people have always had the option to get up and out of the room during ads/mute the volume manually or the most common

The Belkin and MS keyboards have 2-3 AA or AAA batteries and are supposed to last a few months. That's pretty much what we've experienced. It's very useful having the keyboard and mouse on the coffee table in the lounge to control the "Entertainment" Mac. The other wireless keyboard works great
