For me: Apple Mail or Thunderbird, just a question of appeal.
There is little difference in features.
I find Address Book.app is a bit of a pain and on the other hand
Thunderbird lacks the nifty 'thread highlighting' Mail does.
Do you have an interest in accessing Exchange at your Uni?
Apple's Mail is fast, has a clean interface and is easy to use.
Each time I think it's time for as change, I go back to Mail within
days !!
