of days ago so a power spike is an unlikely common cause. In any case
I run through a Belkin surge protector. Tomorrow I will certainly
check out the power supply, it is such an awkward job with the mass of

I don't know if it is practical for you or not but nearly all my firewire
devices have a couple of firewire sockets... and you are supposed to be able
to daisy-chain firewire devices - so why don't you just do that?

My intel iMac has been locking up all morning when I try to mount a CF
card (can't force quit, can't do anything except holding the power
button down for a forced power off). Decided to format the card in
the camera, problem all fixed. Anyone know what is going on here?
