Hi John,
Just adding to Joe's suggestions. Do you have Firefox running in 64-bit mode or
32-bit?
If in 64-bit mode, earlier versions of Flash Player won't run in 64-bit

Did you try starting Firefox in Safe Mode?
Hi Diana

Hi Diana,
Is there a check box for the duplex unit in Installable Options panel in the
Print Fax Prefs-Options Supplies-Driver tab, or is that what you meant
when you said I checked the printer and Duplex is turned on?

Hi Ronni
You are brilliant! Works like a charm now.
When I said Duplext was turned on I meant when I checked the settings
inside the printer
Thanks and best wishes from Diana

John, I'm having same trouble with firefox - i can only open it in safe mode.
Tried removing it and library, plus all extensions etc. Common denominator

Hi William,
You are a bit thin on the ground with info there.
Can you tell us how existing machines are connecting there?
Most folk have their computers connecting either wirelessly or over
wire to a broadband router which is connected to the Internet.

Hi Justin,
I don't think 1Password has anything to do with Firefox crashing on startup.
There are numerous people using 1Password and Firefox in Snow Leopard without
any problems.
For sure there is something in your user account and John's that is not
compatible with Firefox. Something that
I have a task that requires transferring details of academic papers

I have found that no matter what I do, the last step will not work
with a Preview PDF but will work with Adobe 8 Pro PDF.
Is there anyway I can switch off Preview temporarily?

Hi John Justin,
Last ditch effort to solve this problem you are both experiencing with Firefox
crashing on startup.
Are you both using OS X 10.6.5 Firefox 3.6.12 ?
Justin from 'Agile Customer Care' 1Password does not have any problem working
in the above version of OS X Firefox.
Can you do a hardware diagnostic test? Restart with D key.

Yes in the battery of stuff I did yesterday I did that first for a clean

Hi Stephen,
Rob is probably busy and will answer when possible. Have you tried startup in
'Single User Mode' running command fsck?
1.To startup in single user mode, hold down the Command and S keys
simultaneously at startup, until you see some scrolling UNIX code on a black
background.
I don't know what happened, but this message got sent before I was finished

Hi Stephen,
The prohibition sign means the system was not seeing a bootable disk drive.
Starting up holding the Option key as Bob suggested allowed you to select your
startup volume again.
Running the fsck prompt was to check the system and repair any errors it found.
