You could check out the current issue of Australian Macworld which has
about a 4 page article on how to do exactly what you are asking.

Ok, the next bit, and much happier and less scary. I
bought a new mobile, a Sony Ericsson T630. It is the

I am having similar problems, but not just limited to one machine.
I have DiskWarrior 3.0 on CD, and it will not boot either computer.
I have:
eMac 700MHz G4, 384MB, OSX 10.3.2 (pre August 2003)
ibook G4, 12in, 384MB. OSX 10.3.2 (post August 2003)
I have looked at the Alsoft Website
I am having the same problem. Ever since I updated to 10.3.2, and because I
selected Toast as my default, the machine will not even allow me to use the
finder to burn to CD! ie the dialogue box that asks what you wish to do
with the blank disk, etc will not launch, and the CD will not appear on

Just recently I have been having problems when putting blank CD's into my
eMac and G4 iBook.
The eMac is set to use Roxio's Toast Lite when a blank CD is loaded in the
drive tray. However when I try to put a blank CD in to record onto, the
Toast Lite icon appears in the dock for 2-3 bounces then

The desktop computer (G4 eMac) stays on all the time, so speed of start-up
is not an issue. However the laptop (G4 iBook) is a different issue, that
can go for up to 48 hours without being used, so it is more appropriate to
shut down and start-up, rather than sleep.

At the end of last week I saw on Versiontracker that HP had released an
updated printer driver (2.3.1) for use under OS X 10.2.x 10.3, and being
the eager person I am I promptly downloaded and installed the new software.
Next day I go to print something, and a dialog box comes up saying that the

The CRT iMac's do not have a fan, it is cooled by convection, hence all the
air that can be seen inside the coloured shell and all the holes in the
plastic shell.
However it does sound suspiciously like overheating doesn't it!
Are you using the machine in a warm room? Is there anyway to
I remember the iMac being quiet thanks to its lack of fan noise.
The eMac on the other hand is a different matter!

I ended up updating with the original version of 10.2.8, and had no problems
at all. Then when the bug-fix for 10.2.8 came up I updated to that, with
no problems once again.
I was starting to wonder whether it was more related to what machine it was
running on, rather than the software update
Hi
Does anyone have a spare power supply that is compatible with a PB 1400, or
know of anyone that can make 1 good one out of two faulty units (different
faults in each obviously).
I have two PB 1400's and now have no power supply to power either 'puter,
and both batteries are now so flat that

Have you looked into Highway 1, they seem to offer quite good deals and
also happen to be local. Highway 1 is also Mac friendly (they use Macs
too seemingly) and if you check the archive for the last week there
should be a message that outlines a discount for WAMUG members.
Hope that helps
