I've noticed that on my mac as well for the last year or more. When I wake it, it shows what was the screensaver before it went to sleep, then the screen goes off again for a few second before everything's normal. I figure it's a bit like my brain in the morning - takes a bit to get going :-)

Hello Everyone, When I wake up my Mac OS X Version 10.5.6, the display shows and then switches off momentarily. It then comes on and stays on. This has only started over the last few days and I wonder if it warns of something more dire happening later? A Happy New Year to you all and
