I can't see why T4 could not have put the download onto a Thumb Drive that you
supply Kaye.
Once they have proof of purchase and your redeemed Code I fail to see why they
would not.
Anyway Severin has given you another option :-)

library and the one that I found I had a virtual complete copy of in Aperture.
I have had no problems with the Mon library (and I am not sure
Ronni, further information. The Droplets work when I boot in Safe mode.
However Finder still asks for password when I put anything in the Trash. Not
so from the alternative user account (when not in Safe mode).

Hi Matt,
Have you tried the last option I gave you if the other options didn't fix your
iPhoto Library?
1. Hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto.
It will show you a Window with 'Photo Library First Aid'
2. Choose 'Rebuild Database'
See if that can complete and

Photoshop will no longer open at all but crashes as it starts. Adobe feedback
gives nothing. It is not damaged as it is still fine in Safe mode.
Hi Severin,
Just a quick reply as I need to do more clients work for tomorrow.
Mountain Lion does ask for authorisation and for you to authenticate if you are
moving or deleting any that is system related.
I've noticed it does this more than in Lion.
You might have some permissions problems,
I upgraded to 10.7.4 a few weeks ago and now I find my Time Machine back up
process does not work. Duly plugged in via USB cable. Disk not recognised and
the prefs want me to use Airport to find a disk? (which I seems not to be able
to do)
Any help appreciated.

Hi Ronni, I have just tried that and basically had the same result as the same
two attempts before.
Once I press Rebuild, it flashed into the your library needs to be Upgraded, I
pressed to accept that and I now I have the iPhoto is unable to open this
library window with the Quit option and
And to ease Severin and Kaye's moral compass, it would seem to me that as long
as Kaye has paid for ML from the App Store, which she has, then how she
actually gets it onto her hard drive is of little legal consequence. She has
paid for it. She can legally and morally and technically use

Ok Matt,
Something is seriously wrong with the Library then, it is possibly in the loop
of upgrading like it did in Snow Leopard and I got you to delete files so the
upgrade could complete.
A last resort before deleting any files.
Download iPhoto Library Manager
Yes, those are the current permissions
Thanks

From what I know of them, they're a consulting firm. I bit like me.
I only know of them from what clients have told me after I've been there after
them.
There's a lot more places popping up like them now.
I had another client tell me about another Mac consultant (not these guys)
that came out
thats why i like to pay a bit more and have someone out who knows what they are
doing.

Hi Carlo,
We don't forget this is a public forum. The original poster asked if anyone
knew anything about them.
Yes we do; and Daniel rightly posted his experience of being called out after
these people.

Hi Ronni, I have recommended you to my friend who lives in Subiaco, so we will

Hi Ronni,
That's not quite the case. A careful reading of Daniel's post says he was
called out after a *different* unnamed outfit. It's probably best that it be
made clear that we do not have any experience with Techstatic.
Daniel could clear this up please. Were you called out to clean up
And thanks to everyone who has given feedback on Techstatic.

Hi Ronni,
Daniel's post seems to imply that he has heard that Techstatic is incompetent.
On the other hand the post also talks of some other unnamed consultant.
Daniel could you post please and let the group know definitively if you have

I should add that I
OMG Carlo,
Let it go, the query has been responded to.
If you wish to read between the lines, why would people call out another

That's it, no more comments from me.

Again Ronni I can only refer you back to the original email. It has taken a
clearly bad experience with an unnamed consultant and seems to suggest that
Techstatic are the same. On the other hand it is not clear if Daniel has heard
anything *at all* about Techstatic. In the interests of fairness

Hi, I have just dug out an old G5 iMac that is running 10.5.8 and was wondering
if I partitioned an external HD could I back it up to one partition and another
small iMac that that my daughter has that is running 10.6.8 to the second
partition? Even though one will be in Intel and the other G5?
