Thanks Susan. Yes, mine is an oldish iPad but once it is set up and running I
close the lid and it plays on happily on the Apple TV - until an ad break!

Hi,
Since updating to my iPhone 5s to 9.1, I have had issues with Telstra mobile.
(1)An incoming call stops and goes to missed call after 2 rings.
(2)I can receive text messages from a colleague’s iPhone, BUT she is unable to
receive my replies. She has Version 9.1 as well. I copy the replies to
Hi Severin, what we find is that my husband's iPad cannot cope with adverts in
SBS, even just playing them on his iPad. He has a first generation iPad mini.
However, my iPad, which is a second generation iPad Air, can do it. SBS on
demand uses quite good quality streaming, and the adverts seem
I see two solutions. Either never slip up on SBS recording or buy a shiny new
Retina iPad as I have been yearning for!

I have recently had to replay several SBS missed items which I do by AirPlay to
my Apple TV from my iPad. Always a reluctant starter but eventual success
except for complete failures at the ad breaks. Often switches off AirPlay and
needs a restart and hunt through to pickup.

Hi Susan
I have a new iPad with iOS 9.1 and I cannot mirror it with my Apple TV.
With my old iPad with iOS 8 after selecting Apple TV a box labeled "mirroring"
shows.
With iOS 9 it does not show.
I tried to get some clues from Apple Support without success.
Have you any idea what I can do?
Thank you Ronni
This works OK with my old iPad and iOS 8 but with my shiny new iPad with ios9
or with Susan's old pad with ios9 there is no green button and the Apple TV
icon shows connection to speaker only not TV.
Apple Support has a few of this problem listed but I have yet to find a
Has anyone any suggestions on getting Gmail not to put a regular item
in Spam? On most days I receive an update on science news items from
Science Daily, and Gmail insists on putting it into Spam (their spam
detector is pretty good, this particular item is the only one giving
trouble).

Hi Stephen, thanks for the suggestion. Gmail does a good job for me,
just this one annoyance.
I can understand how others prefer to store their emails on their own
computer(s), but for me, the advantages of storing everything in the
Cloud, permanently available at any time anywhere in the world,
Hi John,
On your iPad - Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
Then select AirPlay > select Apple TV - you will then see the Mirroring 'Green
button'.
Cheers,

What about using the email address supplied by your provider.
Then you can use Apple Mail (or an equivalent).
Then you can tell Mail it is not junk.
I don’t understand why anyone uses external email (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) unless
they are travelling a lot and therefore require that facility ?

Hi John,
Go to your AppleTV > Settings and make sure you have AirPlay turned ON.
I don't think you have AirPlay activated on AppleTV if you are not seeing the
Mirroring button on the iPads
And also that the iPads & AppleTV are on the same Network.
Cheers,
Ronni
