Thank you Ronni This works OK with my old iPad and iOS 8 but with my shiny new iPad with ios9 or with Susan's old pad with ios9 there is no green button and the Apple TV icon shows connection to speaker only not TV.
Apple Support has a few of this problem listed but I have yet to find a solution.
