My family and friends often ask me why a fifty-nine year old retired teacher
spends so much time watching a corny old television show like the Andy Griffith
Show. They want to know what I see that they don’t. So I tell them:
When I see Opie and Andy sitting out on the porch having one

Maybe its just me, but as a trained noticer, I picked up on something

Hi Karla,
I am so glad to hear that someone else here on the digest other than
myself and my husband thinks that Sharon Dispain and Thelma Lou look so much
alike. I knew it wasn't the same person, But when I first joined this page (
several years ago) . My first question was Are these
I found an old copy of TV Guide that contained a very nice interview with
Aneta Corsaut. This was in 1963 when she was finding roles in various
Westerns and just about to become famous for her role as Helen Crump. She
makes a statement in the interview, (paraphrased) People tell me that I am
A question for the learned watchers of the digest. While reading an artile in
the Charleston,SC Post and Courier, the writer compared something as being as
strange as when Howard robbed the bank in Mayberry.Well, I've just about worn
out my bucket and cannot remember this ever happening. Do I
Hi, this is a great list to be a part of. I was wondering if anyone knows how
many people actually played 2 or more roles on the show.I am at a loss for this
gentleman's name but he also played Gomer Pyle USMC. He played the man who sold
the vegetables on the side of the road and Barney ran
We know 2 things. 1) You'd need nearly 600 sammiches to get from Mayberry
to Texas (this calculation is better known as Foley's Theorem). 2) I'm
going to Nashville next week.
Now by applying Foley's Theorem, how many sammiches should I carry?

I'm afraid the Mayberry Photo-grapher has made an error in logic. While it
may be possible to determine that Leon lives only 2-bites from the
courthouse, you're making the mistake of assuming the Leon only packs 1
sammich. If, in fact, he is a 2-fisted eater, we can never be sure in his
scenes
Since Leon was generous about offering bites of his sammich, perhaps his
generousity included any creachter he met along the way. If he'd been around
when Jimmy was ready for lunch, that whole ugly dynamite situation might have
been avoided.

Please factor in unknown number of bites possibly taken by others to whom
Leon offered his sandwich. Just because we never seen someone have a bite,
doesn't mean no one ever did.

I have never seen this question asked nor any comment made on it, but as a
calculated guess, how far would you say Leon lived from the courthouse? Some
days it seems his sammich only had a couple bites taken out of it, which
meant he lived very close. Other times it was about half eaten,
We just got our season 4 of TAGS on DVD. When playing disc 1, I noticed
that the picture seems darker than the others (as in season 1-3); this
might be just that one disc. Has any body else noticed that disc 1,
season 4 is a little darker, as in maybe like it would have been lighting
shot
Hey. Would someone let me know from which episode this line is taken? It's
driving me batty. Three of the nicest guys we ever sent up.
