Congratulations to Putnam County, Georgia, Sheriff Howard Sills. Earlier this
week he was named Sheriff of the Year by the Georgia Sheriff's Assocation.
Is it just a coincidence that Sheriff Sills' mobile command post includes a DVD

The real comunity of Mayberry is in Va. bout 30 minutes away.
This is the town Andy used to describe his childhood growing up in Mt. Airy,
NC.
sORRY bout the capitals, but the county seat had to be Mayberry cause that
is where the court house and
Andy and Barney left the town limits many times to fight crime so he must of
been the county sheriff. The town must of not had a police department. We only
hear of state police not locals. So they served it too. But they did answer to
the Mayor not the County Commissioners. Was it also called
