First of all, I live it when there is a crowd on the street In Mayberry, and the number of Digest messages in the last few days if like one of those wonderful crowds. Thanks everyone so far on the help with Stunt Doubles/ body doubles. I think this is an interesting topic for trained noticers.

I'm not sure Barney ever had a stunt Double. How could they find someone with his build? I wonder if Burt Mustin was Barney's stunt double. Same brawny, musclebound build. Burt might have been able to do the rough stuff but, remember, he just couldn't holler. Garry (maker of Kerosene Cukes

There couldn't have been a bar sign in Mayberry since everyone knows it's a dry county! except in the christmas episode - ben sells spirits in his store. which brings me to another point. in that episode, ben walks around to the right of the jail, apparently goes to the back and looks in

OMG - Spirits in Mayberry

2009-08-04 Thread hyperauntjan1
I totally forgot about Ben complaining that moonshiners were competition to him selling spirits in his store! It's not possible that his store was outside the county line because it is right in Mayberry. That just frosts me! Peggy Maybe there's something about this I don't know.

I have noticed when ever there is a scene shot on the streets of Mayberry there are always  car horns honking. Seems like over kill for such a small town. Must be a lot of impatient folks in Mayberry. I wonder what causes that? ___ WBMUTBB mailing

apologies and dual sighting

Boy I'm going to have to apologize for my bad typing in yesterday's Digest. Sorry about that haste and sloppiness. Among other things I meant to say waist model when speaking of Aunt Bee's badge in the Christmas episode. I won't address all my errors. It would take too long. I typed like Otis.

Stunt for Barney

The one stunt I remember seeing that made me wonder if Don Knotts really did it, was the show about A Medal for Opie. When Barney has Andy lie on his back on the front porch of Andy's house. Barney sits on Andy's feet and tells him to push his legs up for strengthening muscles in the legs.
