Have we ever discussed opinions about which actor on TAGS offered an
outstanding single performance in a specific episode? I can't suggest best
performance because there are too many to choose. Also, if we include the
major players, we would have to say every time Howard McNear/Don Knotts/Ron
Cheryl is correct about the vagrant (Arthur Malet). He falsely confessed to
stealing Aunt Bee's pin, not purse. It was Mr. Dave (Buddy Ebsen) who
falsely confessed to stealing Aunt Bee's purse. Arthur passed away late
last year.

I'd forgotten about the epilogue of The Shoplifters, where the little old lady
who ought never to clank manages to get Barney's pistol without his knowledge.

Now here's a question of my own. Many of you are aware that I am a piano

I always find it odd that he and Helen are sitting on the same side of the
booth when Andy and Goober walk in. Andy mentions it to Helen later and
Helen gets her back up about Andy using the term run with but never
explains why they are sitting on the same side of the booth. Why are they

Sterling Holloway did do the voice of Winnie the Pooh. He was from
Cedartown, Ga - about 15 miles from Rome. Cedartown was about the size of
Mayberry when Sterling was there. Elizabeth in Rome, Ga
