This might be my favorite episode of all. For what it's worth, Maryann, my
guess is that the birds in the cage which Opie releases at the end are
alive. He seems very careful when getting them out of the cage, and I seem
to recall seeing the shadow of fluttering wings when at least one of them

Floyd the barber was seen on Peter Gunn show sunday evening. The whole show
was about him robbing a bank holding the million dollars in order to get a
retirement plan for the banks employees. A rather light ditty for Peter
Gunn.Paul in PA. And quit yelling at yourself in that looking glass!Sent
R.I.P. to Joseph Sirola, award winning actor, who died on Sunday Feb. 10 at age
89 in New York City. Joe was 'Freddy Fleet' in "The Mayberry Band."

Sgt Carter probably couldn't give Gomer 16 weeks of KP. That wouldn't give
much time for training! I believe boot camp was 8 weeks and specialized
training for another 8 weeks.
