Well, pooh. I must've done something wrong on that link I sent. I clicked
on it to see if it did work, and it didn't! So I'll tell you the story in
short form just in case it didn't work for others. An employee of a
prerelease center was outside and heard something rustling around in the
I just read an article about throwing rocks that turned out good! Read the

I know Barney and Quiet Sam talked about their military days, and Andy
talked about being in Paris when he was in the military. Gomer, of course,
joined the USMC. Ernest T. attempted to join (just for the uniform, of
course), but I guess he couldn't be considered a veteran b/c his attempt to
Poor girl must never get to church either.
I think Sarah goes to church. Everybody else is in church at that time, so
no one makes calls. Therefore, Sarah can go to church! :) But I do hope
someone covers for her while she takes a bathroom break... Lisa
Like Brenda Jo, I grew up in a small town in WV. We could walk to town to
get an ice cream, go to the library, or to spend our little allowances at
the dime store. To be honest, if I had a child now, I wouldn't let him or
her walk to town (depending on age, of course) alone or even with
Did he have any other names that he used for it?
I think he also called it Blue Steel Baby, Roscoe, and the old persuader.
There could be others. Barn had a talent, I think, for naming guns! :)

I could have sworn
that peperelli was a Barney-ism, but have never been able find it
in the episodes.
I wonder where that one came from.
I saw in one of the books about TAGS that Barney said pepperelli for
pepperoni. There was a list of some of the words he mangled and that was
one of
I believe it was only mentioned that Barney and Andy were cousins in just
two episodes. In episode 2 The Manhunt Barney refers to Andy as Cousin
Andy and in Episode 6 The Runaway Kid Barney again refers to Andy as
Cousin Andy when he writes him a ticket for parking in front of a fire
plug.
As he is trying
to squeeze through the narrow opening, the mail box wobbles. Wouldn't a
heavy mail box have been secured tightly into the pavement?
I believe that Barn was supposed to fix that, but he hadn't received
official verification of the work order yet. (Just kiddin'.)

Can someone tell me what Charlene said to Andy after he told her he was old
enough to be her father?
I believe she said, You sure are beautiful preserved.

Someone asked about what does Andy sues Andy mean. The real Andy Griffith
is suing a man who legally changed his name to Andy Griffith while he was
running for sheriff. I'm not giving an opinion about this lawsuit, but I
did see the story on the internet about it. If you want to read the
Apparently, the real Andy isn't too happy with the Wisconsin Andy. Here's
the story if you're interested. I won't relay the story in case it breaks a
rule or two, but you can read it if you want to. Lisa

It was a catchy little tune, but I didn't understand why they would be
singing about cheese in church. So I asked my husband if he'd ever heard
the
song Bringing in the Cheese. Obviously he got a huge laugh and corrected
me, and I thought I'd share it with my Mayberry friends. (And the funny
