The good news is I am getting the Digest again. The bad news is I am
getting indigestion again. But maybe reading the Digest will help cure my
indigestion. I think it is from too many weenies, brats, and hamburgers at
all the car shows and parades.
Would you believe I was a parade on the 4th
We're so thrilled that Ken's column is getting so much exposure. Don't
forget, Ken, that you granted me permission to include your column in our
monthly Blood Brothers Bulletin, so you're also getting exposure in
Northern Missouri. That's six publications spreading some Mayberry cheer!!
More power
I received some good news today. I have been asked for permission to
publish my monthly Mayberryish column in another newspaper. It will be in
the Bottom Line News and Views in Ashland, Wisconsin, which is in the far
northern part of Wisconsin, so I will reach an entirely new group of
people

Congratulations, Ken! Hope your column is a real success! Just cover
Mayberry, Ken. Just write about all of Mayberry. And the way you do that is
you get stories that'll interest more people. That way, you'll sell more
papers, see. And don't just focus on people like Karen Folker. She may

I have received some good news today. One of our local publications, The
Review, has asked me to be a regular contributor to their three
publications, in our three county area. It will be a Mayberry related and
I have a free hand in writing whatever I want. So this will be another
great avenue
I had a great turnout for my Mayberry Presentation for an Aging Seminar on
Thursday. Got another booking that day for another presentation. I was
also called by our neighboring city of Chippewa Falls asking if I would be
the first unit in their big parade in August. We will have the Grand
I just saw the Donny and Marie show in Vegas and was very pleasantly surprised
to spot our favorite little red-headed boy on the big screen when they
highlighted clips of the many entertainers that have impacted their lives; Ron
was shown with Marie and I'm assuming it was a guest appearance on
I will begin with the bad news. I woke up early this morning and went into
the bathroom. I turned on the light and saw my reflection in the mirror and
went right back to bed. That means another six long weeks of winter in Eau
Claire.
Now the good news. I have been asked to be in a parade

Ken, I checked out your chicken trick video on YouTube and it was really good.
I bet Mt. Pilot will
sign you up immediately. It was really good.
So sorry to hear about the young boy's suicide. So sad. That's the reason I
pulled my children out of public
school and home-schooled them, because

I know we're always lamenting the lack of Mayberry-quality depictions in the
media, but I find that things are looking up. On a recent episode of Reba, she
took a stand against pre-marital intimacy; I was so proud of her. In the film
All Decked Out, the final scene is of a lady singing O Holy
I was so proud and tickled to see a blurb at the top of our local newspaper's
Travel section, showing a photo of Ange and Barn and telling about the Taylor
Home Inn! Also, in the Belk's flyer, it showed Blue Willow dishes on sale
2-for-1; can't beat that! Mayberry, it's everywhere,
