Two shows have just been announced for Mayberry Days: Karen Knotts' book will
debut and she will have a "Tied Up in Knotts - - Book Talk" event on Thursday
afternoon. Ronnie Schell will be doing a show titled "Andy, Don & Jim - My
Memories of Three Mayberry Legends"
This morning at Mt. Airy's Mayberry Days, the mayor issued the Mayberry Days
proclamation, keys to the city were given to three special guests and ALLEN
NEWSOME was named the recipient of this year's prestigious Cat's Award!

be on location for a new movie which will conflict with his plans to come to
Mount Airy. He regrets not being able to attend this year but looks forward to
returning again.

Creek), he will discuss his experience directing the movie as well as directing

at Mayberry Days again this year! She played Mary Alice Carter (as Suzanne
Cupito) in the episode Opie's First Love is is looking forward to returning

As I was typing that last email I got one from the Surry Arts Council to say
that the Doug Dillard Band evening show and Colonel Tim's Talent Time have both
sold out. There are still matinee tickets available for these shows, but are
selling well too.

Turns out Colonel Tim's Talent Time and Doug Dillard Band evening concert are
not quite sold out, but the 13+/- tickets that remain are individual seats

Blackmon Amphitheatre - The Rafe Hollister Band. This western North Carolina

A quick update to let everyone know that the Mayor's Proclamation has been
moved to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, which is 30 minutes earlier than its traditional
time. This will give everyone enough time for the ceremony and then get over to
see Karen Knotts' show at 12:30.
