Andy Griffith has a whole comedy routine about slits in shoes. Anybody
remember it?
Regarding slits on the soles of shoes, my daughter was in a show on a
devilishly slipper stage. So the dancers put Coke on the soles of their shoes.
It worked well but had to be reapplied frequently
Back in the day all men wore dress shoes with leather bottoms, or soles. If
anyone has ever had a pair of these shoes you know that they are very slick on
most floor surfaces and carpet. The only good traction is on concrete.
