Belated birthday greetings to Andy Griffith and the late Marilyn Monroe,
born on the same day and year, opposite coasts.
I finally got to see and hear Jim Nabors sing 'Back Home in Indiana'
before the Indy 500 this past Sunday.
I watched 'The Big Bang Theory', this past Monday night.
Hey to all..hope everyone had a good holiday.
I was watching a show the other day when I was annoyed by a bug that just
wouldn't go home. As I was trying to sh him away the thought came to me
that I've never seen a bug in Mayberry. I remember someone writing in that
they've never seen a

Professor Brower answers this in his book Mayberry 101, which quotes directly
from the episode writer. Read the book for more on his answer and then read the
rest of the book for your own personal pleasure
In the episode where everyone thinks Andy and Helen are getting
married, Helen is walking a student home, and as the child is walking

couldn't make out what she says at the end. Also, was this the only
episode where Rance Howard

I don't
She tells the girl to have her mother put something on her stye, an infection
of the eyelid, like a pimple. That's the same little girl who Opie had such a
crush on in another episode, but Helen calls her by a different first name here
(one which I'm not remembering as I'm typing this).
There was that fly that lit on Aunt Bee's pickles and died

One of my favorite scenes contained a reference to a bug. When Barney
shows Otis an inkblot and Otis erroneously said it looked like a bat.
Barney corrected him that it was instead a butterfly. I crack up when Otis
says, Well if it is, it's a mean one.

They have a special bug in Mayberry called the Green Eyed Monster. Barney got
bitten by it, but according to Gomer they've got something down at the
drugstore that will keep them off of you (one fell on him last week).

Don't forget about the time Opie and Arnold bugged the jail with Arnold's
tape recorder and heard the robber talk to his lawyer.
And of course Mr. Wheeler was able to see those little aphids on Aunt Bee's
flowers all the way from the road.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised in the Darlings had a
Barbara, The only bug I remember in Mayberry was the poor little fly that died
setting on Aunt Bee's pickles. I've got some flying bugs in the chestnut tree
in my backyard, wish I had some of those pickles.

I wonder if those patches behind the ear (Floyd the Barber has one),
to prevent seasickness really work
Hey Larry and all,
Those patches DO work but I didn't use them last year. They make me
kind'a sleepy and a sleepy Floyd might be able to play basketball in the
NBA but he can't perform
Has anyone ever seen a bugged show written into the theme like sittn' on the
porch catching fireflies?
Well, in Sermon for Today, Opie caught a fly in church, although we don't
actually see the fly. And then in Opie the Birdman, Opie collected worms and
bugs for the baby birds, though, again,
