How many guitars did Jimmy Lindsey have to feed? Was it three?
Now Jimmy is great, and he was lucky to have hooked up w/Bobby Fleet. (and in
turn, Fleet was lucky to have Jimmy join his band)
...but if Jimmy had joined Keevy Hazelton's group, then Jimmy could have
increased his guitar family
I thought long and hard about going to Mayberry Days. The fun and fellowship,
the pork chop sammich and tribute artists, the talent and trivia events...
but with gas being over three hundred and five cents a ding, I just
couldn't swing it!! Mebbe next year... :)
I talked to Mrs Wiley the other day and got the go-ahead for Ferdie to play
his accordion at her next social. At first Mrs Wiley hemmed and hawed, but
when I tossed in a free case of fizzy drinks, it was an offer she couldn't
refuse!
So now I'm off to Foley's to get a case of Nectarine Crush
My first one was a yellow Mickey Mouse schoolbus lunchbox. Rounded on the
top where the Thermos went.
Second one (a couple of years later) was a square shaped Beverly Hillbillies

of these metal lunchboxes were pretty

I stopped by Bert Miller's stand the other day looking to buy some

Gee if I only had an hour (or couple of hours) to spend in Mayberry, it
would all be spent at Wally's. Drinking pop while sitting on the bench...
listening to Gomer spin yarns about this and that to customers sounds

Out my way, a gallon of gas varies. Average price for 87 octane is approx
$3.50 at the local pumps in town. Go about 5 miles east and there's a
station offering the same for $3.37. sigh
I wish we had a Wally's Fillin' Station in Monterey Park. You just can't
