First you have to create a VPN connection from network settings. Then using RDC(Remote Desktop Connection) and the computers IP Address you want to connect you should be able to connect to the remote computer. The VPN connection wizard is self explanatory. -Original Message- From: Amrit

The VPN is only necessary when the situation requires it (for example, RDP-ing into a firewall-protected network). You must have an account on the target computer and that account must be given Remote Desktop access. You can grant RDP access from the Computer Management administrative tool.
