I am thinking of running this, which will help us eliminating 2,5k
accounts on the wiki. Chances are that amongst these are some that
people created to simply monitor pages, but I'd accept this as
collateral damage, so to say.

I would like to avoid mailing out first to those 2,5k users, chances are
the addresses are inactive or abused and we spam innocent people.

What do you think? Does this sound like a sensible approach?

Is there a time stamp for users who have done nothing yet before the
script delete them? Let me explain: Will the script delete users who
registrated last week/last month but have done nothing yet?

It is not very important but:
Is it possible to delete marked spam accounts by that way so that they
don't get credit points?

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Impress_Documents_ODF_validation

Is there a solution for the odf validation problem?
If not, why should there be a reason to delete this page or its content?
Maybe it is old content then it is possible to hilite it as old content.
What about Mike's idea? Where can we find it, if you delete the content

If there is no solution and no other place then neither the page nor the

Christian K. made the page yesterday, I, Uwe A. and Thomas H. changed
little things. Nothing completely difficult.

As I did my changes, Silverstripe was slow but not as slow as at some
other times in the past. Only saving during very long. I had some
problems when I was logged in with IE 10 but using FF was helping.

Any objections?

I never asked when I changed the menu, especially the blue one. And I
think you, Marc, are also balancing pros and cons before changing something.

It is really an item to show in the menu.
So, from my side, go on and change the menu.

Ciao,

By default we're still offering 3.5.x series to users. This is the most
stable of our releases. Because of the LibO conference which is
currently going on in Berlin, we've been a bit crunched for time. We're
going to give 3.5.7 a couple days and then we'll put out an announcement
that 3.6.2 is final and then it will be available as an alternative when
you click on the link which reads:

3.6.2 *is* a released version. So there is no need to announce it. I
think you mean 3.6.3.

Change System, Version or Language
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/?nodetect

Currently it is listed as a pre-release but it will be the same version
that is the stable release when the announcement happens in a few days.

Yes, there are two versions which are announced as pre-released:

3.6.2 and 3.6.3

Have a look at:

Most of the time, it is one user spamming. In order to delete all pages
created by that user, you can use the extension available at
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Special:Nuke - simply enter the
user's name, and a list of all his pages are shown. Beware that pages
you mark there will be *deleted*. In case a valid page was spammed
afterwards, changes will not be reverted back, but the whole page is
deleted.

Ok, then I can delete the whole work of Uroveits who has more

Yes, on my French laptop, I have to use Ctrl+Alt+[ combo for this. I am

Grrr. The Archive seems to fail again. So:

I don't think we need any other text. The title of the page seems
descriptive enough and we could always modify the page title if we need
to. I would like to reserve the most space for the actual calendar and
avoid any scrolling as much as possible.

Yes, but you will have FAQs for the calendar as I mentioned before:
- Can I put it on my own Thunderbird (or something else) calendar?
The link and a short HowDo should be implemented.

- Can I have it on my personal website, blog etc.?
- Can we have this calendar on our localized LibO webpage too but only
with localized dates?!

Maybe some more FAQs.

So we need to have answers for these FAQs on the page and so we will
have some text.

I've prepared an unpublished website page and was wondering if using

are there any concerns that I should be aware of? I am also wondering
about the width of the calendar, is 800x600 OK or should it be larger?
It should still be usable on netbooks.

I know there is a calendar plugin for SilverStripe, but using a Google
Calendar adds a little more flexibility and the learning curve for admin
help is zero as many people are familiar with Google Calendar.

Note that you have to be logged into SilverStripe to see the unpublished

that the wiki page version is identical to the proposed main site version.

If there are no problems with the website Google Calendar, then, I will
just go and publish the page on the site under the About Us menu.

Comments are welcome.

[libreoffice-website] [Wiki] Non-readable Captcha

Hi webadmins,
on documentation ml a person had the problem to create an account
because she was not able to read the captcha. (For me it is also really
hard to read).
There is no speaker icon or so and so this is not barrier free. There is
no hint except more info.

When I look at the help page [2] there is mentioned that people who have
problems should call the site administrators. But the link is empty. So
a new possible user gets no help.

Some thoughts from me:
- Can we make a barrier free captcha in the near time?
- If not:
  - Can we make the hints in [2] more public in the page [1]? Nobody
will click on the link more info when he is not able to read the
captcha. He doesn't need infos, he needs help.
-Can we fulfill the link in the help page so that a new user gets
really help?

Regards,

Yes, and thanks for the help! You can find the page in the downloads
section, I have also prepped the page on the features section but not
linked it to the downloads page yet. We also have to worry about the
menu line -- I am not sure if all of the menu items will fit correctly
on one line, it is getting pretty full.

On German download page we only have the features for the newest version
(3.4) on the menu.
A link to the features page of the elder version can be in the text as
you can see it on the international download page.

So it won't be necessary to have the features page of 3.4 in the menu.
The features for 3.3 should be archieved as an old version.

I'll try to free up some time and look at it this weekend.

Do you have a part of it already?
I can do some for it around the weekend, so we could cooperate here?

2. Finding some wiki power users and admins who are willing to give
feedback, like what extensions are needed, what configuration is
desired, how categorization should take place and the like.

3. Web-Design: Maybe we should have a common (branded) design for all

Should this also be a call for the design-ml or should we wait?

{{Menu.Development}}

Not sure, as we didn't have that situation.

I think we should have two separate pages for those two versions.

Hmm, having two places for download for me doesn't appear beeing an
ideal solution.

People might come over several ways to download and not having the
joice in *one* place they might catch the wrong one.

So my vote:
*One* download page.

FYI:
The design team plan to have a adopt-o-meter to give the user the
possibility to decide wich version is the right:

http://go.mail-archive.com/2jzoifmDbaRdEKwXvnLS5RF2_qI=

Also Christoph mentioned on the design-list [2]:

Am 23.05.2011 15:49, schrieb Christoph Noack:
Mmh, the adopt-o-meter shows it nicely (which is good), but the
 decision
itself has to be done by the user (how to select the desired LibO
version, where do I find it, ...).

Can this be somehow aligned with the download selector on the website?
 Something like:
* Official Release, for home and office use -- default
* Highly stable, for corporate use
* Newest Features, for early adopters

So, the users may decide - but don't need to. And the decision to go
 for

(e.g.) stability is directly tied to a certain version - no additional
 lookups.

Argh! I think it is.

I'll monitor it and suppress the pages. Thanks for pointing it.
Kind regards

Hi all,

Could you please remove the link to The Litmus QA tool until it is ready
to use? We have still a lot of work on it before people can freely use it.
It will only add us extra work to explain why the tool is close for the
moment and have not tests.
Thanks in advance for your comprehension. I'll tell you when the tool is
ready for publicity, until that, thanks to keep the information away
from the main site.

I commented it out now on the TopMenu and will wait to put it in until
you give the starting shot.

Should we commented it out on the QA-Menu too [1]?

Even I commented out Alfresco too.

Re: [libreoffice-website] Wiki page problems

Hi Marc, Paulo,

2011/4/26 Marc Parém...@marcpare.com

For some reason, I have had problems with the wiki page in edit mode. I
default to the Rich editor mode. If I choose Disable Rich Editor and do
some edits and them save, I have had all the data disappear.

The times this has happened is when I have added the script to add the
native language header. For example:

pspan class=fck_mw_templatespan class=fck_mw_templatespan
class=fck_mw_template{{Lang|LibreOffice
eslóganes}}/span/span/spanbr /

/p

After I added this and chose Save page, the data disappeared and the
script line came back corrupted.

I was away for 2-3 weeks. Were there any changes done to the editor while I
was away? I would still prefer to work in rich text mode. I would be sad if
it were not working properly :-(

That's true. I'm facing this problem since I use the rich text editor (for
the last three months). So, I stoped using it.

Maybe it is this thread:

Without Rich Editor your script works quite well:
