The command lsusb will tell you what devices are on the bus, but it will not tell you which port (if any) they have been mapped to. Sounds like the cp210x driver module is not getting loaded or does not exist on your system. It's the driver needed for a USB device on the bus to be treated as a

I don't see anything like that. Could this be a clue? When I did a lsusb the vantage connection indicates that it is a cp210x UART bridge. When I do a osmosis, cp210x is not listed. Usbserial is also missing. Does this mean that the build that came with my machine is incompatible? -- You
