I'm able to transpose current data onto a captured image using PIL and
querying the database. It is still a work in progress. Was wondering if
creating a service would be the best way to go forward?

Yeah, did that. Did a upgrade while I was at it and also tried a reboot.
No change.

I am having some problems with the Acurite bridge, and I suspect hardware
failure. (Syslog shows that the interceptor occasionally receives full
data, but for the past several hours it mostly just reports "weewx[916]:
interceptor: MainThread: empty queue".)
I assume it makes sense to try
I had to reconfigure the apt repository to upgrade. Followed the install
instructions for configure apt.

I could not get it to work with the GW1000 driver. I started using
wu-client again in sniff mode with wlan0 and the IP of the GW, and now
I see data. Now I need to get CWOP going. Also lighthttp is
configured to port 8080 for this thing to work on port 80. I set up
the hotspot using RaspAP,
Just to follow up, the issue almost certainly was not with the Interceptor
driver, but updating it was probably a good thing, anyway.
I have no clue what might have been the issue. It appears that something
affected reception of the Acurite sensors' signal for about six hours this
afternoon.
In my opinion I would say no. Keep weewx doing it's main function -
building the database, and use it's secondary function of uploading files
to a website or external location such as WU.
I would handle the image retrieval/storage in an independent program set up
for handling webcams and
You can update over the old one. No need to remove the old one.

Hi Troy,
What is in your /etc/apt/sources.list.d/weewx.list?
It should have this line: deb [arch=all] http://weewx.com/apt/ squeeze main
If not, you will need to reconfigure apt as Jeff suggested:

I am new to weewx. I am trying to use a ecowitt GW1000 bridge to set up
CWOP reporting. I have my station reporting to WU with weewx running on
raspberry pi as a hotspot. The GW1000 is connecting through my Pi. I am
trying to use wu-intercept, but no joy. "I get: weewx[2692]: interceptor:

Hi Pat,
I have a working solution.
In Belchertown.py
Change:
# Find what kind of database we're working with and specify the
correctly tailored SQL Query
Luc, Gary good info, great insight. Thanks for that... It all makes sense
and wasn't something I had considered previously.
I'm on holiday today, but Luc if you want to submit a pull request that
would be great. Otherwise I can merge this myself after some testing
tomorrow.

I apologize for the 404 error, I copied the link from Firefox, but I did
not notice adding a number of strange characters from Google that are not
visible. Only when I copied it back to Firefox I saw them. That's right:

You do have two options.
You can add settings to weewx.conf. Yes, this does make a bulky file. On
the other hand, if/when you want to do an upgrade of your skin, you won't
have to touch the skin.conf files.
Or, you can delete *all* the options under [StdReport], in which case the
skin.conf
Thank you very much ! It's working on my mind again. I can locate a new
skin.
