[Wengophone-devel] Re: little problem with .so files
Hi Nicolas, If Mandrake has a portaudio 19 library, then the correct fix is to build against the external libportaudio, and add libportaudio2 as a dependency. Since many people don't build with all the EXTERNAL arguments set (especially on Linux) these options really need testing, and bugs should get reported against owbuild. Cheers, Dave. Nicolas Lécureuil wrote: Hi, what is the status of fixing librairies to not have anymore .so as libs ? because you provides libs of portaudio ( for exemple) so it conflicts with portaudio-devel on linux distributions, in + the fact that there is .so files make rpm requiring -devels files. file /usr/lib/libportaudio.so from install of libwengophone0-2.1-0.rev9596.2mdv2007.1 conflicts with file from package libportaudio2-devel-19-3mdv2007.1 Thanks a lot for your answers. [Wengophone-devel] Wengophone no longer in Debian testing
Hi, Unfortunately, a couple of bugs which were blockers for our inclusion in the next stable version of Debian have caused us to be removed from consideration for inclusion in that release - we've been removed from testing and dialled back to unstable. http://packages.qa.debian.org/w/wengophone.html The release critical bugs, including a long-standing x86_64 bug on start-up, are here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?which=srcdata=wengophonearchive=nopend-exc=pending-fixedpend-exc=fixedpend-exc=donesev-inc=criticalsev-inc=gravesev-inc=serious This one is particularly worrying: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=405439 In addition to removing us from contention for Debian Etch, this also endangers our inclusion in Ubuntu 7.04 - the 2.1 release should be better on most counts, but we will need some serious testing of it before it will be credible on Linux. In related news, I had a repeat of the problem I had last week of PortAudio blocking when opening /dev/dsp (in spite of the fact that Audacity gets along fine) after a suspend - in the middle of a demo I was giving during SCALE :( Anyway - we're getting there - and I'm confident that we can get this list of bugs down to a more manageable size in the next couple of weeks: http://dev.openwengo.com/trac/openwengo/trac.cgi/query?status=newstatus=assignedstatus=reopenedmilestone=WengoPhone+2.1 Cheers, Dave. -- Dave Neary OpenWengo Community Development Manager Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Wengophone-devel mailing list Wengophone-devel@lists.openwengo.com http://dev.openwengo.com/mailman/listinfo/wengophone-devel
RE: [Wengophone-devel] Extending OpenWengo to create a P2P clientto join OpenDHT cloud
Hello, We started a sourceforge project to build a standard base P2P-SIP DHT Interesting. Is it going to be a P2P-SIP stack or something alike ? Hopefully others in the OpenWengo community would also want to join in making OpenWengo the best client sip client in the world. It is already the best SIP and multi-protocol client in the world ;-) ! Do you have any API for the P2P-SIP stack you're working on ? I am sure it would be feasible to integrate such a protocol behaviour as a new protocol inside the WengoPhone. Hello, Hmm :-( That's bad news. We have to crack these problem down for once and for all. Dave do you know if the Debian blocker tickets are all listed in the 2.1 milestone ? If not, could you synch them into the 2.1 milestone with a (debian blocker) attribute in their label ? [Wengophone-devel] Some Questions and Report
Hello all, I have a few questions. * I would like to build wengophone-2.1 (SVN of course) on Windows XP Professional. What are the current recommended build tools? I was thinking of going with Visual C++ 2005 and Scons. Is this OK? I have a great experience with Cmake on Linux, and I was wondering whether I can use it. * Any hints on where I should start hacking on wengophone to fix the ALSA sound problems on Linux? Any hints about what this would take? * Xavier: Would like to work with you to complete the parts of Wengophone that will make it SIP Agnostic. Any pointers in that direction would be helpful. The patch you committed to make that basic functionality work may be a great hint for me. Could you send it to me? Finally, let me report on my experience with the 2.1 branch on Linux: Able to register with Asterisk as the SIP Registrar. Able to ring and be rung by others registered with the same server. No sound, unfortunately (Using ALSA). Segfaults when I try to register in boost, with the function call-path being through the Logger functions. This segfault is fixed when I disable the logger functions in the source code (i.e. turn the macros to null-ops). More useful details will come later. Thanks a lot for wengophone. I think it shows a lot of promise, and I look forward to contributing what I can. -- Brian Gitonga Marete Software Developer Edgenet Limited Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: +254 20 242019 ___ Wengophone-devel mailing list Wengophone-devel@lists.openwengo.com http://dev.openwengo.com/mailman/listinfo/wengophone-devel
