Steps to reproduce: 1. Disable both settings in your preferences (or enable it, if they they are globally disabled). 2. Open any page in editing mode. 3. Type something and click any link to leave the page. Expected result: You should be able to leave the page without being asked if you want to do so, and you should see the left navigation uncollapsed. Actual result: Both settings are ignored. We should add an extra default parameter to the interwiki table so that
interwiki prefixes that don't contain a string after the colon point to the
mainpage of the target site, if the default value can be specified. For
example, the valueless [[bugzilla:]] currently points towards
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id= but if we were able to specify
(or choose not to specify) a url string for a hypothetical extra parameter
named default the [[bugzilla:]] would instead point to the string. And if the
string were https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/ it would not confuse us with an
error message of some sort (if it were also some other site). This is somewhat
similar to {{#if:{{{1}}} in
[[bugzilla:{{{1}}}]]|https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id={{{1}}}|https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/}}.
The bugzilla prefix is just an example, this could extend to other sites like
google as well.

If a tracking mechanism is required to keep track of edits done using wikibasha, please add the code snippet in the edit summary instead of the article body. Adding such a signature to the bottom of the article is tantamount to claiming that the entire article is the work of wikibasha and If such a precedent is set for wikibasha then all automated tools (and editors) will start adding their code snippets, bloating the page with code signatures. If everyone (bots and editors) start doing this. We have had a lot of automated tools before and none do this signing. If a human editor did the same thing, it will be considered spamming at worst and insensitive at best. If a bot did it, its botflag will be removed immediately. Some GRAMMAR routines add isolated words such as grammatical articles,
prepositions and postpositions around (possibly inflected) words, which
usually are wiki names.
When these words are to be bolded, italicized, or anything the like,
translators currently have the choice to either drop this formatting,
or appy it to the entire group of words yielded by a GRAMMAR routine.
Neither of these is often desirable.
What was generally needed is something wraped around the word passed to
GRAMMAR after inflection, but before any extra words or particles are added
before or after it. What exactly should undergo formatting or the like,
and what should not, would be language dependant and thus has to be dealt
with inside the GRAMMAR converter routines.
I propose extending its syntax from {{GRAMMAR:case|word}} to
{{GRAMMAR:case|word|before|after}}
with two optional paramters which shall be put in front of and behind the
word word, respectively.
Thus, e.g. for uselang=ksh
{{ucfirst:{{GRAMMAR: Dativ, en |{{SITENAME}}|i|/i
would show as either of:
En de iWikipedia/i
Em iWikiTravel/i
depending on the grammatical gender of {{SITENAME}}.
I believe, this is fairly easily coded, and for the most if not all
GRAMMAR routines, I do volunteer implementing it. I've made this bug
report mainly in order to collect feedback and possible additons or
enhancements that I am not aware of. Thanks!

There are two components to the toolbar, the plugin and the activator. The configuration (what buttons are where, what they do, what the look like, what label text they use) is in the activator - ext.wikiEditor.toolbar. The code that takes that config and builds a toolbar from it is jquery.wikiEditor.toolbar. There have been other requests, which I agree with, which propose to make the configuration more configurable. I just wanted to point out, that all that needs to happen is work to make the activator more re-usable. There are some parts in core that map mediaWiki to mw (although not litterly by var mw = mediaWiki, it's done with anonymous function enclosers), this should no longer be done from now on and will be phased out for now. Not sure if this is a problem with the code itself, or something to do with the
configuration of the wiki. Figured I'd better leave a note here in case.
I note that a user was renamed on Feb 3 seemingly without issue. Meanwhile
today, I wasn't able to get the rename to get through even unchecking the
different options.

But Subversion's locking system is probably broken due to the fact that the working copy is on NFS. So one possibility is that the svn up from the cron job runs at the same time as the svn up from xinetd, and that this breaks the working copy. The solution is to make ExtensionDistributor not use NFS, which is desired anyway for operations reasons. Also the use of xinet was probably not ideal since it is the only thing in the cluster that uses it. It would be better if it were rewritten to do everything using internal web services. Testing with IE7 on Windows XP...
The lefthand border on the edit area flickers on and off (sometimes it is
missing as in the screenshot). The other spacing errors appear to have been
eliminated in the meantime.
I think the culprit is here in ext.wikiEditor.css:

Removing that -1px margin fixes the problem for me. It was added in r54484,

fitting issues.
What specific issues does it help with, and do those need an alternate fix?
