We could also attempt to mock the filesystem as described on http://www.phpunit.de/manual/current/en/test-doubles.html#test-doubles.mocking-the-filesystem but that will add yet another layer. Asian languages) needs this option.According to maintenance it will be better

My bot did not report an error to me because after the request fails the script resends the same requests again. This is mostly succesful as far i can see. But of course the increased number of requests needed slow down my bot and increases load at wmf. The error is happening if i send queries that need replag information like the two examples above (siprop=dbrepllagsishowalldb or maxlag on edits). Most of these queries are successful, so i would guess that there are only few misconfigured servers or having a broken connection to database servers. The returned error for edits is the same as with too high replag. I am using maxlag=12 (my code also has functions to slow down edit speed much earlier and this part is not showing a high replag). Above i posted the full http response header. As you can see it does not contain any information about the server having processed the query with a failure. LocalSettings.php on our system did not set a custom value for $wgAutopromote, as the default value was sufficient for our needs. The autoconfirm issue was resolved by setting $wgAutopromote in LocalSettings.php to the default value listed in the MediaWiki documentation ( http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgAutopromote ). However I don't think we need an extra parameter for the api to throw an error instead of truncating when there are too many values. As we've seen, you can query the api (userinfo, paraminfo) for your current limit and split the request if needed into chunks of the correct size. However, the community is having a hard time keeping up with the volume of comments, and would like the option to hide or mark as low quality those comments which do not really merit a detailed response from a human being. Extending the hide functionality to all autoconfirmed editors was actually one idea previously suggested (see bug #32799), and there is a more pressing need to do that now. Some of these sound like there are servers out of sync.
