On Tools, the service group jarry-common has as its members the user jarry1250
and the service groups grep and wikicup

Re fixing in general, the UI at the moment uses "local-", but in the shell

rest of the DN also is different (new LDAP):

Sure; there's already a {{What links here}} on enwp, which is just a wrapper
for [[Special:WhatLinksHere/Page name]]. You can't pass a namespace to it.
An upgraded version would instead generate a link to a fully specified URL. As
you note, the parameter name would need to be passed through {{urlencode:}} on
the template side.
Okay, all that said, I've just been informed that there is a hacky way to get a
namespace index from its alias, by giving a fake page name to
{{NAMESPACENUMBER}} - {{NAMESPACENUMBER:Namespace you're interested in:X}}. And
I'm going to use that technique right now. So I guess this request is moot and
I don't mind it being WONTFIXED on that basis - although I think it would be
cool to have a non-hacky way to use a namespace alias directly.

That is, as I understand it, Squid viewed "/wiki/Wikipedia_talk%3AB" and "/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:B" as distinct URLs and would cache both separately. The images for the thumbs do not work for me in Safari. The reason is the
following:
TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating '$box.removeClass(
'mwe-popups-no-image-tri' ).find( 'image' )[0].setAttribute')
The reason is that no was added but a instead. This is because
some browsers (IE and safari) basically have a symbolic link from image to img
in the HTML context.
And that leads us to the 2nd problem, these elements are created using jQuery,
but jQuery doesn't support element namespaces explicitly and because the image
element will be created in the 'current' document context, it will thus create
an HTML img element. What you need instead is something like:

In e.g. German, all people use the standard German for writing, independent what dialect they actually speak. This causes problems in such Wikipedia communities on about how to name a lemma. Some create lemmas in the dialect which leads to movements if another contributor - often from the specific region the lemma talks about - speaks or writes it in another way. Or someone thinks later that the titel should better be written it in another way, etc. Such a contributor creates a redirect from the old lemma's name to the new one or not. Since there're various ways how to speak and write a dialect, this leads to a confusing crowd of redirects to a lemma by time which becomes very unhandy to manage. Additionally, because it's difficult for readers, but even for native dialect speakers to find out how a lemma could have been named, a redirect in the standard language is necessary for every lemma. Therefore, e.g. the Alemannic Wikipedia (http://als.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Houptsyte) organizes lemmata consequently in standard German and change the titel of a lemma to Alemannic by a template (http://als.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage:Titel) and Javascript (http://als.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.js). This solution prevents all redirects in standard language as well as as movements and thus redirects. The discussion on how to organize this effectively arose currently in the Palatine Wikipedia, too (http://pfl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Schdammdisch#Regle). But the solution of the Alemannic Wikipedia stopped working in the past after MediaWiki had been developed. The community of a dialect Wikipedia is usually too small to be able to maintain such a solution locally in cases of a change in MediaWiki.
