Hi Talia, this sounds like a great goal and first step.
Something to address on your end - if you'd like images included in the
Wikipedia articles, they would need to have open licenses associated with them.
For example, this marvelous image of Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters

Hi Talia! I live in Oakland and would love to help you with this (not like it
matters where we live, these days). The Main Branch hosted an editing event a
few years ago, but that was just as community space - it would be great to get
some of the awesome OPL librarians involved. I've been
Hi everyone,
After a burst of initial excitement I have one confirmed person who is able to
attend. Any others who are interested? We have 35 librarians who are eager to
learn!
Thank you,

Hi everyone! I've volunteered to help coordinate an information and editing
event at the Monterey Public Library in beautiful Monterey California in
conjunction with the Internet Librarian conference. This is a free event. The
space will accommodate up to 75 people and we already have 20 people
Wiki colleagues,
This has been posted in several places but not here I don't think - help us
find a good candidate for this position. We need someone who has excellent

Hi,
I've been working with colleagues at the San Francisco public library on a
Pride editathon. June 11, 1-5 at the main branch. I've done my usual lame job
of creating the meetup page, but for now put this on your calendars and please
plan to come and help support! The library staff are super
Hi,
I’m very interested in this, but won’t be in town on that evening (spring
break!). I look forward to seeing what comes out of this. I’m talking to SFPL
about having an LGBTQ editathon that would draw on their special collections
resources. That would be in June and it would be lovely to
Hi! I'll be working with the Serpent Twins in the afternoon from 2:30 - close
on both Saturday and Sunday this year (come by and see us!) but can help set up
and will come by for an hour on Saturday. If you are really pressed for a
vehicle to put stuff into on Sunday I might be able to help
Hi Karen,

Hi all,
Just a quick note to say that we're planning another edit-a-thon for
June 16th from 1-5, at the Wikipedia Foundation offices in San
Francisco. Like the edit-a-thon in March, we are encouraging women to
come out and get involved (but really everyone is welcome!). We hope to
do these on
