Thanks Michael! 4. About page protectionWe have a wiki. A wiki means everybody can edit, at Wikimedia CH only people logged in.But, there are 2 reasons which are imho pro blocking some pages:a)www.wikimedia.ch, which is redirecting to our wiki, is mentioned atthe bottom of the Weltwoche article about us and therefore people of the public might surf to our website. We don't really want them to seesome vandalism at the first page, the main page, do we? So therefore Iblocked the main page.b) the german bylaws have been approved by the meeting. They are definitive and are also base of the translations. Therefore I blockedthem, because it needs to be ensured, that people know, that this isthe stable version. I once thought of blocking en-translation too,because they are now reviewed by ChapCom, so there must be a stable version too. However I didn't protect them then, because we might wantto correct typing mistakes et al. The other translations areunprotected at the moment.c)The resolutions are quite official documents. As they are now under discussion, I wanted that everybody sees the version we, Nando and I,decided on, to ensure that everybody is speaking about the same thing. In the future, we could mark the resolutions as draft and keep them open until they are discussed on this mailinglist. What do you think? And by the way, a lot of swiss associationshave its seat not in Bern but e.g. in Zurich (WWF Schweiz as anexample). And Zurich has the advantage, that at least some of us livenext to Zurich, what would make it easier to maintain a post box. Andfor tax reasons: afaik Zurich is rather tax-friendlier than Bern (international investors etc.).Just that you don't misunderstand me: I don't want to push forwardZurich, I'm absolutely okay with Olten and Solothurn as well, but whydon't we make the seat there, where we have a local instead of making it in a town, which is by the way not exactly central (if youlook on a Swiss map, Lucerne is definitely more central), and wherenone of us lives. This is an important point. Furthermore the seat should be there, where our branch office will be later on (ok, I'm optimistic...). So, Zurich sounds good to me. Tja, du kennst die Schweizer Rivalitäten zwischen den Städten nicht...Wenn wir einfach in Zürich ein Postfach für den Verein einrichten, und dieses zum Sitz erklären, werden die Tessiner/Basler/Oltner nichtgerade begeistert sein, denke ich mal.Und: Wenn wir einmal vom Steueramt des Kt. Zürich für gemeinnützigerklärt worden sind, dann ist das nachher eine gute Referenz in einem Gesuch für den Kt. Bern/Basel... Wobei Arnes Argument durchaus etwas für sich hat. Wir sollten die Trägheit der Bürokratie nicht unterschätzen. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass unser Gesuch bei einem Kanton mehrere Monate oder gar Jahre vor sich hin gammelt, bevor ein Beamter es nach mehrmaligem Nachhaken endlich aus dem Stapel zieht (so jedenfalls meine Erfahrung). Von da her reicht mir ein einmaliges Verfahren durchaus. Ausserdem: Gibt es Kantone, bei denen solche Gesuche erfolgreicher durchkommen? IMO sollten wir uns Gedanken machen, ob wir die Statuten in diesem Punkt nochmals anschauen und evtl. einen festen Sitz hineinnehmen sollten. Wie wärs mit dem zentralen Olten ;-) Nein, eigentlich ist es mir völlig Wurst, es kann von mir aus sogar Zürich sein. Question: Does someone have a distribution list for press releases in the french and italian part of Switzerland? If yes, it would be great if I could have a copy of these lists, so I could add the addresses in the international distribution tool and we'll be able to send our press releases without a big effort.
